The Bridge

The Bridge is a free educational resource designed to inform upper primary school students about the risks associated with online gaming. This comprehensive program supports teachers of all experience levels, featuring detailed lesson plans that align with the Victorian curriculum for levels 5 and 6. Its engaging content includes animated videos and kinesthetic learning activities, aimed at facilitating discussions around online safety and risk management strategies. Recognised for its innovative approach, The Bridge was a finalist in the VicHealth Future Healthy Awards 2022, highlighting its commitment to fostering a safer digital environment for children.
The content and storyboard of the resource were meticulously developed by educational professionals working closely with students to ensure relevance and engagement. This collaboration allowed for insights into the learners' needs, preferences, and experiences, resulting in a narrative that speaks directly to them. Once the foundational elements were established, I focused on designing the resource using colourful and engaging themes that not only capture attention but also foster a sense of connection. The vibrant visuals and thoughtfully chosen layouts are crafted to resonate deeply with the audience, enhancing their learning experience and making the material accessible and enjoyable.
